Francesca Leone's Biosketch

ant 2 Francesca Leone was born on April 29th 1994, in Cosenza. She got the Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Technologies and the Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Calabria (UniCal).

She collaborated for CNR-Nanotec LiCryl (Rende) testing β-keratin coated gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) applied as antimicrobial agents via Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR).

In 2021, she attended a post-graduate internship with the Nanolase research group and on November she joining the PhD program in Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science and Technology at the University of Calabria and the National Research Council.

New challenges in eco-sustainability research have motivated her to study radiation-matter interactions in systems based on photonic platforms which employ bioinspired materials obtained by cultures of genetically engineered cellular organisms.
